Capital of Alabama, Montgomery is a premier historical, cultural and recreational hub, boasting world class theater, museums, family activities, and fine Southern food. The cityеs unique trolley service offers convenient transport for those touring the many sights of the downtown area.
Getting there
The regional Montgomery Airport offers local services; while the largest airport in the state is Birmingham International Airport, with direct service from 50 cities in the US. Both airports also offer car rental as well as national travel deals. Amtrak’s Crescent route goes from New York City to New Orleans, while the Sunset Limited runs from Florida to California; both pass through Montgomery. The major interstate highway connecting Montgomery to the rest of Alabama is the north-south I-65. Alternatively, I-85 heads east from the city.
