All Star Travel is great for planning special trips for couples

Sometimes it’s just easier when two people travel together, and it’s even better when the companion is your spouse or partner. Here are some little-known secrets for couples to make travel smoother and more pleasurable.

For starters, pack your bags half and half; that is, in each bag, put half of the other person’s stuff. That way, if one piece of luggage gets sidelined along the way, each person will at least have some of their stuff.

And booking those pesky seats together – when most airplanes are configured with three seats across! To gain more room, try booking the window and aisle seat in the same row. If you’re lucky, no one will fill the middle seat, and you’ll have more room to spread out. But if the flight is full, you can easily trade your aisle or window seat with that middle passenger. He or she will be happy to do it, and you and your honey can snuggle the whole flight.

Load one of these two apps on your phone; Find My Friends or Glympse, that will let you share your location with any contact, so he or she knows where you are without having to call or text. Let’s face it, if you’re in a big foreign city and you get separated, you may not even be able to tell the other where you are. “I see a big building with a large clock tower…..” OK that one you might be able to figure out, but “I don’t know, I’m near some gardens……” could leave your partner hanging for hours.

Check out various overnight accommodations before you go, for couples-only perks like room upgrades and free spa treatments. Reach out to the Concierge ahead of time if it’s a special birthday or anniversary, as many hotels will try to make the stay extra special for that special occasion.
